I raised $5000-10,000 in one of those districts, and $2000-4000 in another ...
but in the latter district it was 20-40% of the money raised ;-)

I wish we could quantify non-money contributions
Surely it helps when people knock on doors, phonebank, sit at tables in public places, have parties for the candidates, etc., etc. This is the sort of stuff that a reinvigorated local Democratic party can do. It doesn't show up on the bottom line. But according to what I've read, this is the most effective way to campaign.
That's why I'm working with my local Democratic party and thumbing my nose at the rich rightwingers and all their money thrown at television.
