MoveOn endorses Marshall
Breaking via email just a few moments ago. I've attached their action alert to members below:
Dear MoveOn member,
The results are in: 70% of MoveOn members voting in North Carolina decided to give MoveOn's endorsement to Elaine Marshall in the Democratic primary for Senate.
As Rosemary from Pittsboro put it, "Elaine Marshall is the real deal. She will not get to Washington and become another corporate Democrat." Steve from Harbinger told us that she's "the true progressive in the race, having come out early and consistently for the public option in the heath care debate, against an escalation in Afghanistan, and on the side of labor versus the big corporations."
Elaine Marshall is a tough campaigner and a strong progressive. She became the first woman elected to statewide executive office in North Carolina history after defeating Republican and legendary NASCAR driver Richard Petty. As Secretary of State, she's taken on Wall Street banks and fought to protect North Carolinians from securities fraud and financial scams.
Polls show that the race is close, and Elaine Marshall needs our help to win the runoff election on June 22. Can you sign up to volunteer and help her campaign make sure progressive voters turn out on Election Day? Click here:

Thanks for all you do—and remember to vote next Tuesday!

P.S. Can you take a minute to forward this email to every North Carolina voter you know who might be undecided about the Senate race?

Just think its funny
(not being snarky)
But, how many MoveOn members even know who Richard Petty is? I wish we could poll that.

Honest politicians
As long as she speaks her mind, she'll win. The public can easily see through politicians lies and want honest politicians, especially Democrats who speak their mind. A friend forwarded me this video that aptly describes what I think a lot of voters feel right now: http://www.itsasickness.com/lounge/adam-mordecai-obsessed-democrats-spine.
