NC to abolish all taxes, shift to voluntary contributions to fund government services

“In every other aspect of our lives, there’s opportunities for people to donate - except this one,” Folwell said. “It empowers people. It pushes the power away from this town, and back down to the people who truly feel the urge that, if they’re not taxed enough, that they can donate more.”
Does that mean we can "donate" less when we don't like where our money is going? Can we unfund the circus known as the North Carolina General Assembly? Give us that option, Mr. Folwell, and you'll find yourself out of a job in two seconds flat. Fucking hypocrite.
BlueNC is dedicated to making North Carolina a more progressive and prosperous state. If your intention is to disrupt this effort, please find somewhere else to express your opinions.

Let them eat cynicism
I'll be sending my "donation" directly to Planned Parenthood, cutting out the middle-man, or should I say middle-white-male.
Of course, the selections
don't include the DENR, who Republicans are trying to destroy. Even their idea of charity is prejudicial.
Who is this Folwell?
And where did he say this?

Sorry. I forgot the link
Here you go.
Thanks for the link, and ... he's kidding, right?
We could look on the bright side, and say with this checkoff plan that we don't need a "General Assembly" anymore.

It's a favorite bullshit argument of the Tarheel Taliban
You want to pay more taxes, go ahead! Make a contribution! Just make sure you also "contribute" to fund our plans to force raped poor teenagers to become mothers.
