The NC GOP never lets me down

Just when I lose my faith in Congressional Democrats (the ones in Washington), the bigot brigades of the NC GOP remind me why I do everything possible to keep Republicans out of power here at the state level in Raleigh.

Just when I lose my faith in Congressional Democrats (the ones in Washington), the bigot brigades of the NC GOP remind me why I do everything possible to keep Republicans out of power here at the state level in Raleigh.

I swear, if there were ever a time for disaffected Democrats to move to the GOP -- or at least sit on their hands -- it's now...or so you would think.

But GOP state Senator Jim Forrester and GOP state senate leader Phil Berger are doing everything possible to push away potential new voters and motivate the disheartened Democratic base.

Talk about the gang that couldn't shoot straight.

I wonder what the only black GOP member of the legislature, Rep. Pearl Burris-Floyd thinks of her colleague Senator Forrester's remarks. They both represent portions of Gaston County.

I'll take this opportunity to remind Senator Forrester that by not having a special referendum on his political ploy, we saved the state over $5,700,000.

The guy is a bigoted blowhard and wasteful with taxpayer money. And he calls himself a proud member of the NC GOP.

Senators Jim Forrester and Phil Berger, you are enough reason for me to keep voting for Democrats for the NC General Assembly.

And to Phil Berger's staff -- that was not an apology. Brent Woodcox, this means you.

And on the local political front today, Lots of rumors swirling today about corrupt practices in the upper echelons of the NC GOP, when Doctor Forrester said he wasn't talking about GOP State Party Chairman Tom Fezter not being Gay and Black. Meanwhile last week Doctor Forrester was informed by a Art Pope Tea Party member that the Jesus had come back 2 days ago and Doctor Forrester name was not on the Return to Sender list to the Republican Paradise, but he could appeal his case to the slick city lawyers and a Black Gay Group in Raleigh......

David Young has called him out

on his indelicate comment about who votes and why.

David Young is NC Democratic Party Chair.

Young also called on the leadership of the North Carolina Republican Party - Tom Fetzer, GOP Chair; Phil Berger, Senate Minority Leader; and Paul "Skip" Stam, House Minority Leader - to join with him in demanding an apology from Forrester.

Progressives are the true conservatives.

No Dem Opponent

Why can't Democrats find anyone to file to run against jokers like this? He does have an opponent in the primary, but if he wins that, Forrester is assured another term is there is no Dem opponent. That's even if Forrester did something really stupid like driving drunk or getting arrested.

I know the chances of a Democrat winning a seat like this are not high, but the chances are ZERO if no one even contests the seat at all.
