NCDP State Chair Candidate

For 25 years, I have been actively engaged in the elections of every NC Democrat through grassroots activism. As the First Vice Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party, the last two years have been ones of training and learning the techniques and skills necessary to move the Democratic Party Platform and mission forward in the 21st Century. I have taken advantage of every training opportunity; attended every function and meeting that was plausible; and served the state of North Carolina with diligence and to the best of my extensive capabilities. In this 2008 General Election campaign, all my training and talents were put to work to deliver the votes necessary for V-I-C-T-O-R-Y. Working relentlessly as the Kissell for Congress Campaign Chair, 8th District Base Vote and Educational Outreach Coordinator for the Coordinated Campaign, we delivered for every candidate on the ticket.

Under my leadership, we coordinated an awesome taskforce, and moved across the District as the Democratic Party’s secret weapon 200-plus strong. Together we can build such a force in every district across North Carolina.

During the past two years and particularly over this last election cycle, I gave keen observation to the capacity of the NCDP organizational capacity. Without the extenuating and historical events comprising this elections cycle, the NCDP victories could have been very different. I will work with our Democratic family to build, sustain, and renew our capacity to have a lasting impact on elections to come for decades.

Maybe the coffee hasn't kicked in properly,

but I'm having a little trouble coping with your first sentence:

For 25 years, I have been actively engaged in the elections of every NC Democrat through grassroots activism.

I think it's the word "every" that's messing me up here. That would be appropriate for the years you've been involved at the State Party level. But for the whole 25 years of local and district stuff, you might want to substitute "many" or even "hundreds of" Democrats instead of "every". That probably sounds nit-picky, but I found it hard to concentrate on the rest of your words after stumbling across the first sentence.
