New Reports Indicate Dick Cheney ordered torture for political gains

I don't think any of our regular readers will find it surprising that new information available shows Dick Cheney tried to get an Iraqi intelligence officer tortured to try to justify the war in Iraq - not to protect Americans or to prevent future attacks. Dick Cheney was apparently desperate to prove a link between Saddam Hussein and Qaida.

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse made the rounds today with more on the story.

but, at least in my eyes, people care less about what has happened to us. Here we have two draft dodgers( Bush & Cheney) from the Vietnam days, lie to get this country into attacking another country, costing the nation in thousands of death and injuries, plus billions of dollars stolen by the corporations involved in supplying the invasion force. It just goes on and on. And WE knew there was no connection between Iraq and Al Qaeda. But the country seems to want to just stick our heads in the sand and hope it goes away. What a difference sixty years make!
