Bob Etheridge Appointed to Powerful House Ways & Means Committee

The N&O is reporting that Congressman Bob Etheridge (NC-02) has been appointed to the powerful House Ways & Means Committee. He's the first North Carolina Democrat to be appointed to the committee since the 1950s.

Etheridge may not be the favorite of many liberals, but he has earned the respect of his constituents and his colleagues. I can't think of a better time for North Carolina to have representation on this particular committee.

Bob Etheridge is a moderate, pro-business representative and is an absolutely SUPER pick for serving on the House Ways & Means Committee. He will have the admiration of both sides of the aisle.

This is a great selection. Hopefully we'll see more of this kind of representatives on committees that affect our lives.

Etheridge is not nearly as liberal as I would like, but I like having him as my representative, and he cares deeply about the people in this district.

There is not a more honest, hardworking, and dedicated congressman in Washington. I'm awfully proud to say he is my representative.
