State Refuses to Consent to DNA Testing for Jerry Conner

Jerry Conner is scheduled for exectution on May 12. Mr. Conner is asking the courts for permission to have the DNA sample that was found at the scene of the crime re-tested. The original testing in 1991 was inconclusive. DNA testing has evolved over the last 15 years and can clear any doubt once and for all.

Am I correct in my understanding that Frank Parrish is the DA in question? Would it do any good for us to contact him?

Frank Parrish is the DA who signed the State's response opposing DNA testing. If he changed his mind, DNA testing could be conducted quickly and if not favorable to Mr. Conner would likely not delay the State's efforts to conduct the execution. On the jerryconner website there is contact information for the AG and Governor, but direct appeals to Mr. Parrish wouldn't hurt the effort.
