Sue Myrick Rules Out Run for Governor in '08

Sue Myrick has made an announcement to go ahead and quell the rumors that have been swirling about her possible run for Governor in 2008. Wow! That sure was out of the blue.

I'm thinking someone got some really stinky poll numbers back and thinks it might be because voters are writing her off for the other job.

Vermin Robinson? He's definitely going to get his ass kicked by Brad Miller, so he'll be trolling around for another race to lose.

This could also indicate that her health is declining as well. She hasn't looked great the last couple of times I've seen her. While I agree with her on say...maybe...NOTHING, I know she's aware that by withdrawing her name from the rumor mill others might feel a bit more inclined to toss their names in the hat.

"My opinion of Pat has changed over the years. I used to think he was truly a man of the people but the longer he has been mayor, the less I think of him.

As with most cities, Charlotte has three political parties: Dem, Rep, and Chamber of Commerce. Pat is definitely the puppet of the COC here. What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
