Nothing New For Newt

Newt Gingrich seems to be a one-act pony and has learned nothing new as he tries to rehabilitate himself to run for the presidency.
He lied to the ethics committee years ago, his former wife Marianne disclosed he lied about Jim Wright, his serial adultry,and disclosed also to his ex-wife that he defended the position that there is no correlation required between what he preaches and how he acts in his personal and professional life.
Now he gives us a history lesson on the Mosque at Cordoba and how the mosque in Spain and the proposed mosque in New York are similar examples of the Muslims sticking their fingers into the eye of Christians.
Again, he sees no need for there to be a correlation between history and Newt's history.
The Christian vs Muslim war in Spain was in the year 712. The conversion of the church from Christian to Muslim occured in 722, resulting from lack of community support for the original Christian church, and the historic expansion of the mosque occured in 784 following the Muslim victory of a Spanish Muslim faction over another Spanish Muslim faction. The expansion was to celebrate the victory of Muslims over Muslims, not Muslims over Christians.
Nice try Newt.

Newt's become a joke
probably always was, but now it's becoming painful. But that won't stop teh baggers for drinking in every lie he tells.

....representing that side is wonderful for progressives and liberals. He (and the Palin Clown Car Posse) might appeal to the far right, but having either of them or their followers become the talking heads of that side isn't necessarily a bad thing. I can imagine quite a few very nice, honest, and decent people who could do a lot better at rallying the Middle and the Right; and that would hurt the progressive cause much worse that a Newt-Palin ticket.
