- New Elon poll: Black inspires little confidence; gas tax ought to simmah down now, and:
Nearly 79 percent of those polled agreed or strongly agreed that the minimum wage in North Carolina should be raised. Of this group, 45 percent wanted raised from $5.15 per hour to more than $6.50, while another 25 percent picked $6.50. Legislation pending in the General Assembly would raise the minimum to $6.

- The campaign finance reforms that Black proposed to make what Black did illegal continue to wind their merry way through the house.
- Newsflash! Global warming and living on a giant sandbar don't mix!
- Say this out loud: "North Carolina is a progressive example for those in other states who would defend the common good." Sounds good, eh?

Don't know how old you are, Lance
but bitching about taxes...any tax...will never go away or simmer down as long as there are Republicans. Trust me. It.Never.Stops.

Vote Democratic, the ass you save may be your own.
Good to see NC
getting credit when we do something right. Now we just need to do more things right. Like, for example, blocking the sale of public land to meet short term funding needs. And holding politicians accountable for their ethical lapses and corruption. Would that we could expunge our state of both Taylor and Black at the same time . . .
