A nice letter from Ed Cone:

To: Barack Obama

cc: Kay Hagan

From: Me and I'm guessing a lot of other folks.

Dear Mr. President,

I laughed when people said you were a closet radical. Now I'm asking you to please check your closet to see if there's just a little bit of radical in there. You could apply it, in your judicious way, to healthcare and financial regulation and gay rights.

I dig the pragmatism thing. I believe that politics is the art of the possible. But, really, you are a popular president who was elected to clean up a bunch of manifestly broken policies, so please don't give us Lite versions of same.

Regards,

Ed

Check out Pam!

I wanted everyone here to see this, since Pam has been a part of this community, and is a strong voice for progressive politics.

It was a wonderful night at the first Women's Media Center Awards, where I was honored for my contributions to online journalism/new media, along with Rebecca Traister of Salon.com. The event was held at the Arthur M. Sackler Foundation and the room was packed with people excited to see so many accomplished women receive their due.

We're all so proud of you, Pam. Congratulations!

Wise words.

Wise words. I think it is high time Obama started cracking the whip and got serious with some of the domestic policies, especially healthcare. CASINO ONLINE
