this rant would hurt Beck and Fox News, but their "faithful" audience will soon forget this, so they can get back to enjoying the hate with which they've grown so comfortable.
I was sent a sound bite of Wreck, Beck saying this from one of my more "righty" e-buddies. What Beck is presenting is that (paraphrased) if you are in church and hear the preacher mentioning equality and social justice and so forth, that is "code" for Marxism and/or socialism and/or communism and you should then consider leaving that church.
Now, is that just about the most ludicrous thing in the world..or not?? I have heard preachers/ministers/pastors (whatever they were called whenever I did attend one church or another) say those exact things ever since, well, WAY back when I was dragged by my ear into church by my parents. No..Nah..don't start saying I am anti-religion or that I am bashing my parents for taking me to church. That's not AT ALL what I am saying. Those of you that have kids know that when it is time to go to church, lots of times kids balk. It is a "youth thingy", okay?
Point is, isn't Christianity or ANY OTHER RELIGION all about social justice and so forth? I mean, is that or is that not what Christ was about in a very large way?
