Our first TV ad – “Throw ‘em out!”

You did it! Because of great supporters like you, we were able to launch our first TV ad of the general election this weekend. Rather than hiring paid actors like Senator Burr, I decided to talk directly to voters. Take a look.

It’s nothing fancy – and that’s the point.

Washington is broken, and we cannot afford to send the same typical politicians like Senator Burr back if we’re going to create jobs and shake up the Senate. That is the message of this television ad – and it will be our closing argument in this campaign.

I’m hearing from voters every single day on our “Kitchen Table Tour” that they are tired of Washington politics – and that’s the message we’re taking to the people!

Keep up the momentum – pitch in $5 or more today to keep this ad on the air:

Like I said in the ad, it’s time to throw ‘em out – whether they want to hear it or not.

Great work, Team Marshall

I love this ad, and thank goodness it's running. We haven't had this kind of straight talk from a North Carolina politician in quite some time.

Democrat?

"If Senate candidate and North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall didn't criticize GOP Sen. Richard Burr in her latest television ad, she'd likely be confused for a Republican." -CNN
I was wondering after all I had seen and heard in the news for the past 2 months would Marshall run from the Democratic party stamp. I have been virtually silent on here for awhile because some have become so nasty if you say something opposed to their position but I just had to speak up today. I am very disappointed that Marshall did not say that she is the Democrat running for US Senate or have something on the screen to that effect. I was really hoping that she would not run away from the Democrat label like so many are in this election cycle. She's our biggest ticket item this election but won't say it unless she's at one of our rallies. What have we become?

We've become

... a party that keeps the likes of Tim Geithner as Treasury Secretary.

If I were Elaine I wouldn't run to the arms of the national party either. They picked Cunningham over her and still won't humble themselves to support her even with Burr having weak favorable poll numbers.

Elaine, you're doing the right thing by running on your own. No one will own you.

The national Democrats are little short of a pack of f@340ups. If a few of them lose, I won't weep.

10/11/10 Debate

I gave up on Elaine after watching the debate for 15 minutes. Burr has an awful record in the Senate and Elaine did not attack his record. The only good that came from what I saw is that I wont bother to send any more money. Sad!!

Michael Caplow

Already she's

pointed out that opposed the surge, unlike Burr. They stood on opposite positions on war contracting, Burr being for it, Elaine being for the proposed cuts there. She pointed out that she wont put social security into wall street, unlike Burr. And she just called Senator Burr by name as the "national poster child for obstructionism"

Too bad

you actually missed her going after Burr on his record and his having been part of the problem the past 10 years.

Good Ad

That was definitely one of the better political ads that I have seen in the past couple of years.

I'd actually consider voting for her if the economy weren't so bad, I didn't think that several of her policies would make things worse. Seems to be good on the war, and decent on a few others.

Does she have any events around Raleigh in the near future?

While I do enjoy

a clever campaign ad with props, gimmicks & actors, I think directly speaking to voters comes off as very genuine.
