Pantano touts more unconvincing evidence of his innocence

Apparently shooting somebody in the front is okay:
"I said to all assembled, ‘Here is solid scientific evidence that these two Iraqis were shot from the front and not in their backs,'" he wrote in the letter. "Lt. Pantano is innocent."
Of course, this Doctor's letter of support leaves out the fact that Pantano had ordered the two Iraqis have their handcuffs removed just prior to him unloading two clips of ammo into their (unarmed) bodies. But since it was in the front, well...
He brought it up
It appears from this article that Pantano is using this patently prejudicial letter from Dr. Rodriguez to clear away any doubts about his guilt or innocence in this incident, so it won't be an issue in the upcoming election.
But just like any other megalomanaical sociopath, he doesn't think he did anything wrong in the first place. And until everybody recognizes his heroism, he's going to continue to pursue efforts to rewrite history.
And that obsession, even more than what his opponents might do, will keep this story alive.
