Pat McCrory running from Bush?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

UPDATE: It appears I was wrong. I've found an earlier version of the McCrory site and there is only one Bush photo that I can find. Looks like no scrubbing was done. My apologies. Removed from front page.

2nd UPDATE: Not only is McCrory not running away from Bush, he's bringing the Preznit to Raleigh for a special-interests fundraiser courtesy of big time developers. Should be a great opportunity for Bush's 28% approval rating to rub off on Myers Park Pat.

Last month when I started doing research about Pat McCrory, I spent a bunch of time on his website. The place was littered with photos like this one, with Mr. McCoal sucking up to George W. Bush, grippin' and grinnin' to beat the band. I didn't count the photos, but it seemed like there were at least half a dozen.

But today when I went back for another look at McCrory's record, I found an extreme makeover in progress, with only this photo capturing the buddy-buddy relationship between the two Big-Coal Republicans. Yep, McCrory appears to have scrubbed his site to erase evidence that he and George Bush are best friends. Still has Ronnie Reagan up there. Still has Billy Graham. Still has Mitt Romney. But only one George Bush, buffered by the inimitable Biddy Dole.

What's up with that, Pat?

James

PS Does anyone know how to find archives of recent editions of websites that would show the "before scrubbing" version of McCoal's site? The Wayback Machine doesn't have the latest stuff.

Nope...you need to take screen shots

I have done that in the past. You would be amazed at how helpful it can be when you're researching.

I remember thinking at the moment

that I should have gotten screen shots. Dang it.

I'll send a note to the campaign asking them where the old photos are.

We'll see what happens

Hi.

I'm doing research for a freelance news story about the relationship between Mr. McCrory and President Bush. Last month, there were a number of photos on your campaign site showing the Mayor and the President together ... but today I could find only one.

When did you remove the images from your site? Can I get access to the photographs that have been taken down?

Thanks for your help.

James

No joy

Almost three hours and the McCrory campaign hasn't responded yet. I bet if I was one of the MSM "insiders" they'd be back to me in a heartbeat.

If you were running for office, wouldn't you do the same thing?

seriously.

What?!?

You guys don't mirror the opposition's websites?

Wow.

I have Terabytes of data on every candidate website I could get my hands on of all parties, going back to 2004.

Do you have McCrory's from 60 days ago?

Purty please?

The bidding starts at four

The bidding starts at four figures, cash only.

Here are my four figures.

Yes! But do you have 2000 and back? If not, than you are not consider a political expert, but simply a groupie of odd internet rumors about yourself.

MaxThe Dog Attacks, Again

I have to admit that I was not on the internet back then. I was a BBS guy who hated GUI interfaces.

On politics, enough of an expert to be have sold some of my copies of Obama-related info for a pretty penny. I can extend my sabbatical from work for six more months.

I am already scouting the 2012 Democratic field for my weekly mirroring projects, as well RINOs.

Look Dude! You are totaly lost at this site. In fact you need to get back to your Art Pope neo-con pig pen Katy's Corner and soak in the scumbag slim of neo-con republicanism in order to raise your IQ to 75 over the retardation level of unimportant internet freaks. And stop trying to be a wiz of misinformation, when you can't remember your real name?

Thanks. Hadn't seen that one.

I wonder why he's not using it out front in his gubernatorial campaign? You think Bush is going to come to Charlotte to help McCoal raise money?

I do

I think Bush will continue to support McCrory. Neither McCain, nor McCrory, nor McHenry are different enough from Bush to be willing to break ties with him.

Bush McCoal

Nothing like a boost from Mr. 28% to drag a campaign into the toilet.

Geesh. I honestly thought he was smarter

than that. Silly me.

Bush money

is like Duke Energy money. Jack Hawke doesn't care where the bucks come from, just as long as they come.

Damn the Irish!

This election cycle might bring out my first ever prejudice towards Irish-American surnames.

Friggin' Republicans.

Our county overwhelmingly supported Richard Moore in the primary

Lots of Democrats are getting letters from McCrory stating that he's not much different from Moore.

There's one at our HQ that is the source of much amusement. I believe someone wrote "as if" on the letter.

I wonder what Moore will have to say about that?

Moore hasn't stepped up to support Perdue yet, though the two actually met this week in public for the first time since the primary.

It'll be interesting to see what Richard does as McCoal tries to become his new best friend.

Myrick looks like a looney bird

Every time I see people like her and McCoal laugh, laugh, laughing, I want to spit nails. It's all a big frickin' game to them. Hahahahahaha.

Meanwhile, another day, another handful of soldiers dead in Iraq.

Hahahahahahaha.

Pat McCrory doesn't wear an American Flag lapel pin

I guess that means he isn't fit to lead.

Or a North Carolina lapel pin

But I hear he carries a lump of coal in his pocket to remind him of where his allegiances lie.

McCrory should stay away from Bush

President Bush is coming to Raleigh to raise money for Republican gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory, Under the Dome reports.

Man, I thought McCrory was smarter than that.

Maybe Bush is money in the bank, but the unpopular lame duck is death with voters.

McCrory is playing right into Democrats' hands. No amount of money he can raise is worth the cost.

Jack Hawke, McCrory's chief consultant, told Dome, nah, Bush won't hurt the Charlotte mayor.

National issues will have little impact on the governor's race.

"Our campaign will concentrate on the state of North Carolina and the problems the state has — from corruption, to mismanagement, to a high tax rate," he said. "That has very little (to do) with what is going on at the national level."

Those things are true, but one reason North Carolina Republicans have a hard time getting anywhere on the state level is that voters associate them with the Republicans in Washington.

BlueNC bloggers are already trying to link McCrory to Bush, and now McCrory's helping them.

It's totally unnecessary. The gubernatorial campaign is about state issues, and running on state issues where Democrats are weak is the only way for McCrory to win. So, why is he opening the door to a discussion of Bush and his blunders?

John McCain doesn't wear an American Flag lapel pin

I've looked through hundreds of pictures of John McCain in Google images and on his Senate web site and I can't find his lapel pin flag anywhere.
