Paul Stam, the people of North Carolina demand your resignation

If he had an ounce of integrity, the bigot Paul Stam would submit his resignation from the NC House of Representatives today. But don't hold your breath. Stam is just another incompetent (expletive deleted) who thinks accountability is for others. From the NCDP via email.

Today, the Employment Security Commission announced that North Carolina’s jobless rate rose to 10.4% due to the disastrous consequences of the Republican budget. In June, Republicans in the General Assembly PROMISED North Carolinians that their budget would produce a better job situation by this September:

"Tell us in September if you can tell the difference." Rep. Paul Stam (R). Associate Press 6/29/11

As of September 16th, 2011 the difference is clear: the policies being pushed by Republicans are a disaster for North Carolinians.

“This increase in unemployment is a direct result of the job-killing Republican budget that took effect in June,” said David Parker, Chairman of the North Carolina Democratic Party. “Apparently, Republican leaders have forgotten their September jobs promise to the people of this state. Thom Tillis, Pat McCrory, Phil Berger and their allies are focused on all of the wrong things. Instead of wasting taxpayer money pushing divisive social issues, Republicans should follow Governor Perdue’s lead and focus 100% on creating jobs. It is painfully clear that we simply cannot afford anymore of the failed Republican leadership.”

In the nirvana of private enterprise, Paul Stam would be shown the door for failing to deliver what he promised. Instead, Thom Tillis will reward the (expletive deleted) just like he rewards all the other crooks and incompetents in his inner circle.

Your failure is painfully clear, Mr. Stam. The people of North Carolina demand your resignation.

It's September. I can tell the difference.

We're going to hell in a hand basket with no bottom in sight.

You know, I actually thought North Carolina might have

grown up a bit in 2008. That we might have finally left the 19th and a good part of the 20th centuries behind us. But NOOooooooooo .... we've gone all the way back to 4004 B.C. and are witnessing the genesis of a bizarro N.C. .... And Stam said, "Let there be stupidity." and there was stupidity and he liked it.

Environmental Defense Fund

Cell phones will be to the 21st century what tobacco was to the 20th.

Just think of Stam's legacy...

Bullsh*ttery, bigotry, ignorance, malice, incompetence.

There's a nice slogan for the NC GOP.
