PPP: Chapel Hill mayoral race too close to call
GOTV efforts are especially critical tomorrow for Chapel Hill's mayoral candidates. Mark Kleinschmidt trails Matt Czaikowski by one point. Tom Jensen does note that the polling does not include cell phone only users which means a lot of students aren't being polled. For full results go to PPP's blog.
There's still time to knock on doors and make phone calls and volunteer to greet voters at the polls for Mark. I'm sure Jake will be here momentarily to provide us with all the particulars.

We're tied, its in your hands now
Here is the facebook info about our poll tending information. You can sign up by either posting on the facebook wall saying which shift you want, or you can post here on BlueNC.com in this thread, or you can e-mail at jakegoad@gmail.com

Also if you can make any calls for use, send me an e-mail at jakegoad@gmail.com and I'll send you a list of contacts. We want to really turn out the vote in the highly democratic neighborhoods that really like us. As the poll suggested Mark is doing well among democrats, and Matt is doing extremely well among republicans. So with a statistical tie it really is going to come down to a Get Out The Vote effort. Please e-mail if you can make any calls today or tomorrow. This election is going to be so close everyone who helps will know if we win tomorrow we literally couldn't have done it with you.
I'm going to be at the Coker Hills precinct location (which is very near where Mark lives) coordinating our poll tending. If you need poll tending materials & leaflets you can come by during the morning or lunch shift or on your way to your location to pick up materials from me.
It would be heart breaking to lose this election by a matter of 25 votes, and that is the level at which individuals can have an impact, I know lots of our supporters are cutting class (me included) or taking a vacation/sick day tomorrow b/c it is just so darn close. Please do what you can, every little bit counts, in fact a little bit is going to decide the election.
