Pulling a Tillis

At our annual July 4th party yesterday, the words "pull a Tillis" emerged as an epithet, a damning phrase describing brazen arrogance by any elected official. Thom Tillis, his children, and his children's children will be forever saddled with the Speaker's shameful legacy.

Said one woman: "Pulling a Tillis? It's more like he pulled out his dick and pissed all over the North Carolina Constitution." There were other similar comments, all nicely summarized by this post today at Southern Fried Science:

As our American readers enjoy their day off to celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence, let’s all take a moment to reflect on how little respect Speaker Tillis has for the democratic process. I don’t care which party you align with. I don’t care whether you support or oppose natural gas exploration, we should all be opposed to our representatives usurping the democratic process for their own political gains.
