Raleigh NC - So will NC lawmakers try to overturn boat towing veto by Gov. Mike Easley?

It is a damn shame that the North Carolina lawmakers are coming back to Raleigh to look at a vetoed bill that would ease boat towing restrictions. Damn this must be important as hell.

Just following their constitutional duty
Maybe important or not, but legislators are just following their constitutional duty by returning to Raleigh since the Governor has reconvened the session.

If not important then a waste of time and money.
From what I read in the article they are coming back for that sole purpose.
I don't care who called them back. For me it is a no brainer but I am just giving my opinion.
My opinion stays the same.

Constitutional duty my foot
Not that they don't have to return. But that they WANT to return to push this thing through. The support by the General Assembly for this bill was overwhelming. They figure the revenue increase for those coastal communities promised by the extremely able boat lobby (not to mention the contributions they are "earning") will more than offset public outcry over a minor thing like highway safety.
Good editorial in the News and Observer this morning on it.
I hope it will be followed soon by a summary of what this special session is costing us.

Thank you Brunnette you said it. That was my point. In response to username, I was saying that this was important as hell to them but one legislator stated that they should have come back but they should have come back to deal with the health care issue. It is said they may reconvene at a later time now to deal with that. Now that is more important to me than this boat bull manure but again this is just my opinion.

Tell Mikey it costs too much
He reconvened the session.
Posting the proclamation is educating ignant citizens on who is to blame for what.
If only one person is educated, then I've done my job.
Have a blessed day.
Wait, were those my lines?
Do we really need bigger boat trailers on the road?
