Can you have student loans forgiven if you are a teacher?

Any teachers out there?
I've looked around but can't find an answer.
Teacher Student Loan Forgiveness
a) Google the above words (Teacher Student Loan Forgiveness)
b) There's a good synopsis in this LA Times article: Wiping out teachers' student loan debt. In particular take a look at the AFT Database linked in the article, selecting "Loan Forgiveness" for "Funding Type"
Guess I didn't look very carefully
Thanks for the links.
I'm always surprised to find people sending emails my way (through BlueNC) asking questions like this. It's kind of weird in one way, but it's also kind of interesting that some people are at such a loss to get answer to the questions they have.
Prisoners, especially, write to me a lot. I guess we may be their last hope sometimes.
You, Stan, Betsy, Greg Flynn, Steve
and so many more make asking questions here so interesting. You have answers and links. No better place to ask a question then at a place where you trust the answerers. =)
