Replacements Ltd: Supporting a company that did the right thing

Replacements Ltd., is one of North Carolina's most solid success stories. But unlike many companies that were missing in action on Amendment One, Replacements Ltd., took a clear and unwavering stand against discrimination. As a result, America's shopping bigots are coming out of the woodwork.

Mr. Page, 67, said he doesn’t like politics and isn’t “extreme,” or “in your face” about being gay. But, he added: “I just refuse to hide. I did that way too many years and it’s just not healthy.”

At the same time, he said: “I’m always concerned I will hurt our business. I know we have lost business. But I don’t have a board or shareholders I have to answer to. My life is not about money.”

My wife and I would not have heard of Replacement Ltd if you hadn't taken a stand in opposition to the gay marriage ban, and look forward to shopping on your website. As a past resident of North Carolina, I look forward to the day the Tar Heel state and my new home, Massachusetts, stand with equal moral conviction on equality. Thank you.

I'm betting the company's decision will prove to be a great example of doing well by doing good. And for all the bigots who won't shop there because they're afraid of teh gayz, well, they won't be shopping anywhere. Replacements Ltd., is a one-of-a-kind business with almost no competition.
