Representative Sue Myrick Hospitalized
Congresswoman Sue Myrick entered Carolina's Medical Center after suffering from severe flu-like symptoms since last weekend. Please join me in wishing Rep. Myrick a speedy recovery. CharO has the announcement.
Myrick battled breast cancer in 1999 and has been cancer free since her surgery and preventative chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Since that time she has been a tireless advocate promoting breast cancer awareness and working witn Congress to help make more breast cancer drugs available under Medicare.
Myrick will face Democrat Harry Taylor in this year's general election.

Goddess speed her recovery
flu-like symptons are bad, severe flu-like....my deepest sympathies
No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

Best of luck to her.
We're all in that battle together.
----insert witty remark here----coming soon----
has this been a bad flu year?
I know of someone fairly young and healthy with a bunch of kids who got flu earlier in the winter and died from complications. It seems to me that there have been more severe strains of flu around this year.
Certainly,Congresswoman Myrick and I don't share views but I hope she receives excellent care for this. This is a good place to be if one is sick, because of excellent medical care available to those with health coverage.
I haven't noticed more folks around me than usual
coming down with the flu.
You make a good point. Rep. Myrick has excellent health coverage thanks to the willingness of the citizens of this state to pay for it and I don't believe that she has to worry about her pre-existing condition. Everyone should have access to that level of coverage.
Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.
You're right - more people than usual seem to be ill this year.
I certainly wish Ms. Myrick a speedy recovery.
