In response to some unnecessarily nasty e-mails received from Gene Messick

When I read some of the content from the e-mails of Gene Messick, it reminds me strangely of Rush Limbaugh in the way that he distorts the truth in order to make his sheep follow him like a messiah, and I respect the amount of effort that he expends just to ruin the efforts of Democrats everywhere in NC, but there clearly has to be a line drawn when he criticizes not only the Democratic party, but our own nation.
What I'm talking about is how he criticizes how we elect officials that support our best interests so that they may vote for the best leaders, which he clearly states right here in one of his e-mails/propaganda:

"Officers are elected. Delegates to the County Convention are elected. And ONLY elected Delegates may vote for the next County Chair at April County Conventions, tho many Dems do not understand this."

We very clearly understand what we are doing when we elect Delegates, and you should too, because unless You are completely submerged in your pit of misdirection, you should realize while writing about how we have a misguided system, that our very own United States of America uses this same system to elect our Senate, Congress, and President. I suggest that you stop telling us that electing officials to run our government is misguided.

Additionally, going out of your way just to insult a very hard working member of the Democratic Party is just obscene, especially considering how much she has sacrificed for the party. :

"Here's an example of confusion about how the Party works, found posted on the Iredell County Party Website: September (that's her monicker: also Valerie, or vrmccrady, depending on who she thinks she is that day) says that County Party Officers will be elected in April, and everyone is invited.

What Ember fails to mention is that ONLY Delegates elected at Precinct Meetings held during these 2 weeks will be able to vote for their new Chair in April. Being a Webmaster and not an Officer, Val may not understand this..."

I have already explained how wrong he is in the point of us having no say in how our party members are elected, but what I have not explained yet is how offensive he is to people working in the party who deserve no such treatment, but yet, he continues to insult Valerie by pointing out insignificant details to try to prove his point against another Democrat who was outraged by the vicious attack on Valerie, and that brave soul decided to write back, and challenge Gene's fact-twisting, and sharp tongue.

"Why in the world did you need to attack September McCready? You could have made your point without the ad hominem attack on someone's name.

Her name actually is September. Her mom told me the story of how she got it. Virginia September McCready.

And she is a wonderful person and tireless volunteer. Democrats could not have won statewide without her and others like her. "

This is exactly what I was thinking when I was reading his attack on Valerie, but instead of replying with sense or dignity like any good mud-slinger would do, he points out something completely irrelevant to try to prove his point.

"According to the person you wrote about, her name is McGrady, not McCready."

Actually sir, her name is Valerie September McCrady, not McGrady, or McCready, and don't you dare try to prove me wrong in that point because I know her better than any of your goons that do 'fact checks' and come up with phony results like this. Why am I so sure about what her name really is ? It's because I am her son, and I am defending her with so much of my spirit because not only is she a loyal member of the Democratic party, but I am too, and have poured my sweat and blood into the Iredell Democratic party just to gain the small margin we did, and to maybe. just maybe gain some small margin in the overall Presidential, Senatorial, and Gubernatorial race.

Another thing that he tries to attack is how Valerie September McCrady supposedly has been trying to destroy the hard work of all the Democrats have expended for most of their lives trying to better the party:

"We have reports that several Democrats in Iredell have dropped out of politics altogether because of her efforts to destroy what they were doing for the Party there. Such behavior could hardly be called a Party building activity."

Where are these 'reports' coming from exactly? She has worked tirelessly to bring in new members to the party, including me, and I fail to see one example of a person abandoning politics because of her so-called "efforts to destroy what they were doing". Mister Messick, I refuse to let you destroy the massive amount of effort that me and my family have put in towards the Democratic party, and will not let you soil the good name of the Democratic party, so until your next outburst of "Truth", please refrain from contaminating the Democratic Party anymore, please?
