Richard Burr is a moron

Oh my. After suddenly realizing that his sparkly new Republican alternative to Obamacare involves a gigantic tax increase on employers, Do Nothing Dick is quietly backing away from his ridiculous plan. Breathtaking incompetence.

Does Senator Dick still have his other D### in the ATM Machine?

This could explain everything about Senator Dick that Blood Flow to his Brain is shut off for the 21 th century of Republican Chaos....

What a bunch of maroons

Of course there hasn't been one peep from the "taxed enough already" crowd, proving (once again) that their anger is more about a black President than it is about a health care policy.

This is what happens

when you base your policy on hatred of a black president rather than on serving the American people.

The right-wing nut jobs will continue to support this bogus "alternative"; they consistently demonstrate that they'll support things that harm their own self interest -- so long as it demonstrates their hatred of a black president.

Sickening.

The new Koch brothers anti-Obamacare ad

Well, it seems that getting rid of the ACA is the only thing that evangelicals, Tea Baggers, libertarians and the Koch brothers can agree on.

Perhaps that's why "MONGO NOT WANT OBAMACARE" seems to be only message the Republicans are offering up between now and the mid-term elections.

Here's the ad, via Slate.

Oh, and by the way, the next debt ceiling crisis? It's coming up and the Republicans are already planning to make it about - you guessed it - "MONGO NOT LIKE OBAMACARE"....

Sure is a good ad

Money can buy fame, fortune and political success. That is for sure. This ad by the republicans is excellent and it could never have happened without excellent funding.

Democrats in North Carolina are going to have to come up with a money game of their own to counter these kinds of ads and many other kinds of things that money brings to the republicans. It isn't right, but it's true nonetheless.

So, if we want to take our state back we will need money and a lot of it. That should be paramount in any and every effort being made in every political campaign state wide. Sure, there have been incidents of candidates with far less money than their opponent winning races but that is more the exception than the rule. Republicans are flexing their financial muscle by putting out these ads. We have to find the money to show a good defense against them.

Oh, yeah, the ad's not exactly true either...

Slate points out this is another case where there's more to the story.

Short form - she was on a state funded insurance system and could have gone on Medicare if Tennessee hadn't turned down Federal monies for the program. Then she didn't want to hunt for insurance on the ACA websites because of all the horror stories she heard from the Republicans.

Well, then, it's entirely clear

that it's Obama's and Hagan's fault.

My inability to do competently do something for myself ...

... is the fault of the previous administration.

Sounds like a certain governor, doesn't it?

Ooh! ooh!

I know this one! :-)
