Just heard this on the NPR
it's truly sad, but they really did do everything to try to save him.
No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.
The pessimist in me....
...thinks they kept him alive just long enough to harvest a bunch of his sperm that they can sell for a shit load of money.
On the other hand, maybe they just liked horsies.
