Robo Call Attacking Kay Hagan - Quick Group Project
I received a robo call yesterday attacking Kay Hagan. It came from the Associated Builders & Contractors Free Enterprise Alliance. I simply don't have time to research these folks and need your help. Do y'all mind making this a group project? We need to answer these questions. Who are these people? Where do they get their money? Are they attacking other candidates?
I found basic answers on their main web site and found this.
Since its inception in 2001, FEA has:Produced a “Right-to-Work Employee Involvement Toolkit” to ensure the passage of the Oklahoma Right-to-Work initiative.
Organized a get-out-the-vote campaign for the successful passage of the Texas 12 Proposition, offering valuable tort reform leading to lower state health care costs.
Distributing more than one million voter guides comparing the 2004 presidential candidates' positions on issues important to the merit shop agenda.
Developing the ABC Votes! website with information on voter registration and voting regulations.
Preparing and distributing quarterly posters to all ABC members on ABC stances on the Employee Free Choice Act, taxes and other issues.
Helping to secure the right to a private ballot through the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace (MyPrivateBallot.com).
Without FEA, the enemies of free enterprise will continue to attack-making it harder and harder for you to compete.
I need all the help I can get right now. Let's expose the people behind the attacks.
Here's a link to their Open Secrets page. You search for them under ABC PAC, but underneath is says official pac name is Rightroots, Inc. I think that's the GOP version of ActBlue, but could very well be mistaken.
Again, any and all help is appreciated.

On the surface, they seem to be
an anti-union activist arm of the Associated Builders & Contractors. But if you go to the "Educate Your Employees" page, you'll see voter registration documents on the left, and Fuel Prices "paycheck stuffers" (brochures) on the right. Open that file up, and you get the whole Big Oil spiel about the need for offshore drilling, drilling in ANWR, building more refineries, etc., in a fancy attractive brochure form.
So Big Oil gets to run their ads right inside people's paychecks, which has simply got to be against some kind of labor or FEC law.
Which (I believe) may explain where the money for the PAC comes from. Just like the Freedom's Watch thing I covered, the real reason behind the robo call is to keep Dole in office, in this case to benefit Big Oil.
If you get these calls, please RECORD them
We are keeping track, nationwide, on our blog and website.
It is too bad that politicians continue to exempt themselves from Do Not Call law.
StopPoliticalCalls.org is fighting for the privacy of the American voter.
1 - Creating a Political Do Not Call Registry
2 - Testifying in the US Senate about robo calls (Sen. Feinstein’s Robocall Privacy Act)
3 - Forcing states to enforce existing robo call laws (CA, MN, NJ, etc..)
4 - Getting politicians to take a do not robo call pledge (7 have)
As I testified at the US. Senate these robo calls are an epidemic and this election cycle “phone spam” and are invading the privacy of All American Voters.
Our members are taking a stand and saying enough is enough at the National Political Do Not Contact Registry at StopPoliticalCalls.org.
Here is a quote from a member recently:
"I'm a shift worker, working variable shifts. I depend on my sleep to be able to do my job safely and efficiently. I'm a locomotive engineer. Imagine the disaster were I to fall asleep, operating a freight train carrying hazardous materials in your neighborhood, due to fatigue from being awoken in my middle of the night on a continuous basis during election season. Please stop.."

Scum
Their description says it all. They are scum of the earth, who do nothing more than ensure workers have no rights on the job.
As for who they are, I don't know

Looks like Liddy's running scared enough to bring in money from her real hometown to help with her campaign.
