Rumors in the 5th

It seems talk of a radio host have ignited Facebook and Twitter, a fellow by the name of Billy Kennedy. Has anyone heard about Billy? He seems to be an involved democrat. He has a Draft Billy Kennedy Facebook page.

The bio reads "Billy Kennedy is a local democrat from Watauga County with an extensive history and prominence in the community. Billy is the son of former Black Mountain mayor and Presbyterian minister Will Kennedy. His contributions include serving on/as: The Watauga County Democratic Party Executive Committee, The North Carolina State Democratic Party Executive Committee, a Precinct Chair in Watauga, an active campaigner for other candidates, and the host of “Watauga Talks” on WATA-AM." Sounds promising!

I wonder if he knows just how much his candidacy would be welcomed and just how much "ammunition" he'd have against Virginia Fox.

I'm guessing he would be an immediate hero in the 5th for democrats.

I've Got All My Data

Back in my office I still have all of the voter data for the past two elections for every county and every precinct in the district as well as a half-dozen strategy memos that I personally drafted for winning the 5th. Any candidate who runs is more than welcome to it.

I seek no title nor glory. I seek a candidate. Those Watauga Dems really have there shit together up there. With their skills and a good candidate, who knows what could happen.

I'll take you up on that...

The Draft Billy Kennedy facebook page spiked dramatically today. In a matter of 5 hours they gained 144 people.

People seem to really be behind this guy! I sent a few words of encouragement to him. The contact information for the draft effort is DraftBillyKennedy@gmail.com

This guy is the real deal for the 5th I think.

Spreading the Word

I'm in almost every anti-foxx group out there on facebook, and just shared this on all of them, and on the one where my husband is the admin, had a message sent out to all the group members, and am putting the link up on message boards & anywhere else I can think to, & sent 20+ invites to the group.

NC 5 is where I grew up, and I would love to see some new representation there.
