Rumsfeld Turns Down Substitute Teacher Job

Nasty.

Reports from Bagdad tell of a horrific kidnapping from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Scholarships and Cultural Relations Directorate in the downtown Baghdad district of Karradah.

This is the largest known kidnapping since the war began.

Yet, Bush’s approval rating is now around 31% according to a recent Newsweek poll. My question is, who are still supporting him? All indications point to the far religious right who continue to see him as an almost spiritual leader.

Pardon me if I question their spiritual intentions… Again.

mea culpa

I am unsure if today's strip is all that good. I have had a driving migraine for two days and I don't think this is my best work... at all.

But then again, how the hell do you make the savage kidnapping of 150 people funny?

You're right

the kidnapping of 150 people isn't funny, but I think you've hit on something with this strip. Dubya has done nothing for the people of Iraq. At what point do we get the neocons to admit that life is worse in Iraq under George W. Bush's reign than it was under Saddam's. We are not fighting the war on terror. Our presence in Iraq is only creating more chaos and terror in the country. I remain amazed at the ignorance of those people who continue to recite the GOP talking point, "Talk of withdrawal serves to embolden the terrorists."

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

Embolden the terrorists

Exactly how more bold can they get? This kidnapping was a huge operation. They blocked off city streets, stormed the building and did a search and snatch of 150 people (or 130). The trucks, the perimeter security for the op plus planning and execution all points to a very large scale deployment.

So they are not emboldened yet?

One must wonder what the Bush supporters definition of 'bold' is?

Happy ending?

At least it has a happier ending:
