Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio returns from his Mother's Wake to Vote

We are on the road to recovery. Senator Dick Durbin just read the vote after Senator Sherrod Brown returned from Ohio. He will fly back for his mother's funeral tomorrow morning.

Senator Harry Reid is proceeding with morning business. They're going through the motions getting business set up for the week the Senate returns for business.

I'm one of the crazies, but I stayed up just to hear

I sat at my computer nodding off until I saw him walk in. I actually had to guess it was Senator Brown standing with Senator Reid b/c I have this tiny little tv in my office and CSpan was cutting off their heads. I heard it though.

At some point - further down the road - I'm sure we'll hear about the vote being held open so long. Republicans are just so classy that way, ya know?
