State of the Senate - Uncontested Runs
I started this as a comment to Lance, but it ended up being larger than a comment deserves. This is a list of NC Senate seats that are uncontested (so far) in North Carolina. For now, we stand ahead 18-16 in the uncontested seats. The seats are posted below by party. Are there any we can immediately remove from the list? Seats where the "last second" strategy is in play? I see from a search of unopposed Republican seats that one is Basnight's seat - assuming he will run that makes it 18-15. Having that kind of lead is good, but it would be nice to END with something like 15-5.

I'm surprised no one is running against Pittenger. Mecklenburg is S.D.s neck of the woods, n'est pas? Okay, so if I just said chicken egg, you'll have to forgive my 8th/9th grade French. Also, there is the fact that Pittinger is a nutbag.
Sen. Robert Pittenger sits alone at one end of that spectrum. In his Feb. 5 essay "We aren't changing climate," he cites "authorities" that don't represent the position of scientists or policy-makers around the world, including the National Academy of Sciences and even President Bush. They agree pollution from coal plants, vehicle emissions and other fossil fuels has created a greenhouse gas envelope in our atmosphere that's warming our planet.

Are any of these other areas strongly Democratic?
Or, are these all pretty safe Republican seats and we have challenged all the easy seats? It would be nice to have a 50 Seat Challenge for the Dems in North Carolina. These Senators will surely be pulling for Republican House candidates that are in overlapping districts. Anything we can do to keep that from happening would be welcome.
Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.

This needs editing on the FP
The District 3 needs placed below the fold, then everything on the front page will not be in bold : )

I removed the strong tag
Sorry. I'm generally happy with Civicspace and Drupal, but It's a source of stress for me that you can't set where the teaser ends on a post-by-post basis.
Ah, that explains a few weirdly truncated posts.

Ok, Nevermind
I just figured out how to set the end of the teaser. The way is to put the following in your post:
Everything before that will go on pages that only show teasers (like the front page and your "my blog" page), and everything below will only appear on that post's own page. Awesome.
Robert, I'll add the formatting back to your post and set the break before it.
Changes
We have a contender in 9, 14, 40.
That means the uncontested race is at 15-15. Great. Nice job.
