State Senator Julia Boseman Endorses Hillary, Campaigning with Former POTUS around SE North Carolina
State Senator Julia Boseman will be campaigning with former President Bill Clinton in Southeastern NC, Wednesday April 30th, on behalf of his wife Hillary who is making an historic run for the Presidency.
Senator Boseman is no stranger to political attacks. As the first lesbian Senator to serve in the NC legislature - she endured one of the harshest attacks from the NC GOP. So harsh in fact, during her 2004 campaign the local paper- the StarNews in Wilmington NC, withdrew it's support from her republican opponent and in turn endorsed her- less than week out from election day. All of this took place in 2004- Woody White was hand picked to serve out the remainder of Senator Patrick Ballentine's term. Ballentine- had decided to run for Governor. Thanks to the fair minded constituents in Senate district 9, Julia prevailed by less than 900 votes.
Since 1978, the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research (NCCPPR) has published biennial surveys ranking the effectiveness of legislators based on the opinions of lobbyists, reporters and legislators themselves. In 2005-6, Julia Boseman was ranked the 20th most effective senator (of 50), giving her the highest ranking ever for a first-term female senator and the second highest ever for a freshman.
Senator Boseman won her re-election in 2006 against Republican opponent Al Roseman by more than 11,000 votes. Roseman was endorsed by Rep. Thomas Wright (D) who is serving a 6 - 8 year prison term.
I am proud that the candidate I am supporting for the Presidency of the United States has asked Senator Boseman to be seen - and heard on the campaign trail in "Jesse Helms" country.

Oh The Irony
Should we all ignore the coincidence?

What if we changed history?
With the firstorm over Wright hitting I have heard three older voters say they've changed their mind on Obama.
Easley comes out for Clinton.
It's a big what-if, but what-if Clinton actually wins here?
Does she go on to win WV, KY, OR, PR, MT, and SD. If so, does she win the nomination?
Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.

Unlikely (though, I wish!)
Though Survey USA does show Sen. Clinton not only eating into Sen. Obama's lead, but also shows her leading among unaffiliateds.
I don't think she'll win OR...MT and SD are dicey. But she should get Indiana, West. Va., KY., and PR. As most commentators have pointed out, I don't think she has a chance to get the lead in elected delegates. But, the rumor seems to be saying Fla. will be seated with half its delegates, which A) allows them to count and B) "officially" sanctions counting their popular vote. Don't know about Michigan yet.
In other words: The punchline comes down to superdelegates.
