Bill Clinton
It really IS OK if you're a Republican. Former NC Congressman supported after convicted of corruption charges.
Submitted by funluvn on Mon, 07/13/2009 - 8:36amIt never fails to amaze me how much crazy it takes to continues to float the boat of the Republican Party. These days, it takes a lot. Never fear, though. It's out there and it is growing.

Stimulus day - Obama in CO - and on budgets, dems do know best
Submitted by wade norris on Tue, 02/17/2009 - 11:06amLately, Republicans are constantly telling me new theories about Barack Obama or the democrats, including how the dems were planning to "turn the country socialist." (even as our Republicans are calling for the Nationalization of our banks) Even worse, is the claim that Bill Clinton is to blame for the economy.

Bill Clinton Speaks at NC State
I guess that should be past tense. Bill Clinton spoke at Reynolds Colliseum as part of their Millennium Seminar Series. It has been scheduled since October of 2008. The speech was entitled, "The Way Forward."
Would love to hear from attendees.

Democratic National Convention Day 3: "The World is more Impressed with the Power of our Example.."
Submitted by NCDem Amy on Thu, 08/28/2008 - 10:55amIf anyone thought that Bill Clinton alienated himself from party members during the primaries, they thought wrong. Last night, he more than redeemed himself. The “come back kid” did it again.
“The world is more impressed with the power of our example than the example of our power,” resonated Bill’s oh so easy to listen to voice. Through the convention hall, his words captured both the hearts and minds of Democrats.

Bill Barnstorms Asheboro
Submitted by Mac Whatley on Thu, 05/01/2008 - 8:41am
Bill Clinton’s barnstorming tour of small-town North Carolina is finishing up its second round in the eastern part of the state as I write this; he was in four towns yesterday and did seven more today. But I was in the middle of last week’s traveling show, and I’ve been so busy catching up I’m finally making time to write before it’s all history. Actually it WAS, history, here in Asheboro, and the glow of it all is still burning pretty bright. But even now pundits are piling layer upon layer of speculation and analysis, and after next Tuesday it will all be academic, filed away in some history of the 2008 election. But all over North Carolina, generations of small town residents will remember when the circus came to town.
Bumped, this is a great diary. Thanks. - RP

Bill Clinton in Monroe
Submitted by Betsy Muse on Sat, 04/26/2008 - 4:44pm
It's been a while since I had the chance to go hear Bill Clinton sell his wife's economic plan to supporters in Monroe, NC. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to update you on the event.
First, I have to say that my overall impression was so positive. He spoke highly of Barack Obama and said he would make a good president he just though Hillary would make a better president. Unlike what we see on the national media, he was very positive. I kept waiting for the digs at Barack Obama, but they never came.
