PETITION TO SUPREME COURT OF ALASKA TO BLOCK NDAA INDEFINITE DETENTION PROVIDES MODEL FOR CITIZENS OF ALL STATES
While the mainstream media blackout keeps millions of Americans clueless about the consequences of NDAA 2012 and Constitutional Rights groups do little more than milk the issue, in Alaska one bold patriot is taking action.
###
A Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus was filed with the Supreme Court of the State of Alaska on 20 December 2011 and accepted by the Clerk of Appellate Courts on 10 January 2012 in response to the "indefinite detention without trial of American citizens" provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA 2012) by Ms. Anna M. Riezinger-von Reitz and other unnamed Petitioners:

How many examples of greed and corruption must you see before you act?
"The U.S. media landscape is dominated by massive corporations that, through a history of mergers and acquisitions, have concentrated their control over what we see, hear and read. In many cases, these giant companies are vertically integrated, controlling everything from initial production to final distribution." This chart shows who owns what:

The Vindication of Dick Cheney (by Obama)
Submitted by wafranklin on Wed, 01/19/2011 - 11:20amPardon: correctio, Salon vs HuffPost.
There is an interesting article at:
http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_greenwald/2011/01/18/cheney? The vindication of Dick Cheney
By Glenn Greenwald
Obama’s failure to rescind Bush policies or prosecute the Bush administration criminals has (1)decimated the rule of law, (2) abrogated fundamental
constitutional rights and civil liberties, and (3) given the Government (FBI, NSA, DoD, Homeland Security, etc.) unlimited powers over ordinary citizens with no right of redress). This is a dark, dark stain on Obama’s presidency. He has been captured by (1) corporations and (2) executive departments which he is to lead and manage. He has invited back in many of the major miscreants from the Bush and Clinton administrations.
If Obama loses in 2012, it will because he has conceded to so many Republican demands that there is no need for a Democrat in the White House (same way the Blue Dogs lost big in 2010).

The Bush Debacle
Submitted by James on Sun, 12/12/2010 - 7:19pmYou can find the entire post at Daily Kos.
Ten years ago today, the world changed. At the time, we just didn't know it yet.
Ten years ago today, in a baffling and overtly political 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court decided that the only way to protect the equal voting rights of the people of Florida was to stop counting their votes--but only in this particular instance and no other, because they only wanted the votes to stop being counted when George W Bush was ahead.

BUSH TAX CUTS REVISITED
Submitted by Mr Clean on Tue, 09/14/2010 - 12:26pmThe “Bush Tax Cuts” (BTC) were originally proposed by then Republican presidential candidate George Bush during the 2000 campaign. Less than 5 months after Bush took office in January 2001, he signed into law the “Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001” (EGTRRA) on 6/07/01. The new legislation included 441 tax and pension law changes (source: BTN Research).
The cost of the BTC (i.e., an estimate of the reduction in federal revenue that would occur) over the 10-years from 2001-10 was projected to be $1.3 trillion. The cost of the reduction of all marginal tax brackets was the largest piece of the $1.3 trillion amount, totaling $727 billion over the 10-year period. Other tax features of the BTC included a doubling of the child tax credit and an elimination of federal estate taxes by the end of the decade (source: Joint Committee on Taxation).

On eve of 1992 campaign, Bush 41 pitches education plan in televised classroom speech
Submitted by TrueMeckDem on Fri, 09/04/2009 - 7:13pmOn eve of 1992 campaign, Bush 41 pitches education plan in televised classroom speech:
http://www.dailykostv.com/w/002099/
Bush’s speech was delivered on the eve of his presidential re-election campaign, and although it did contain some inspirational rhetoric, significant portions of it were focused promoting his own education plan.
A conspiracy theorist might even claim Bush’s goal was to influence parents by "indoctrinating" their children.
