Democratic Challengers 2008

Kay Hagan, US Senate:

NC-10 - Pat's in a Panic

Rep. Patrick McHenry (R) pre-empted an embarrassing cash-on-hand tie with his unknown general election opponent late last month, loaning his campaign $175,000 on June 30, the last day of the quarter.

DCCC Comes to NC

The DCCC is coming to play in North Carolina, with a radio spot targeting McHenry and Hayes for their continued support of giving more and more tax breaks to oil companies while working Americans can barely afford gas.

More Better Democrats before June 30th

Goal ThermometerWe have a myriad opportunities for change this year. We can put Larry Kissell over the top, and I'm sure we can find a Democratic upset out there, somewhere. Our goal should be to make the North Carolina Republican Congressional Delegation the easiest to remember in the South - because there will only be 4 Congressmen and 1 Senator after this year.

So why not help out and see if we can get over 100 by the fundraising deadline? If you gave your 10 for Jim, maybe you can give 20 to Hagan. Or do what RobertP does, and cut out that pizza dinner this week. But whatever you do, lets give the media a story they can't ignore - well-funded Democrats prepared for victory in November.

Even the NCGOP are ashamed of Patrick McHenry Xenophobia

Even the NCGOP are embarrassed of Patrick McHenry nowadays- with some new group emerging of "Republicans against Patrick McHenry" and a new CharO article with NCGOP leaders speaking out against Patrick McHenry with terms like "get a clue", Patrick may be having the worst election season of his life.

30 Hours Left to Help Daniel Johnson

Earlier in the week I put up something about Daniel Johnson and Democrats Work. Well we are down to the wire, and you can make a difference!

McHenry's Missing Money

Bring media attention to NC-10

The first round votes have been counted and we are down to the final five!

Thousands and thousands of people cast first round votes in "Serve with the General" - the contest that will send General Wes Clark to one lucky Congressional District to participate in a community service project. The race to get into the final round was extremely close!

Now it is time to pick from the final five districts: Washington's 8th (Darcy Burner), California's 4th (Charlie Brown), North Carolina's 10th (Daniel Johnson), Colorado's 4th (Betsy Markey), or Minnesota's 3rd (Ashwin Madia).

Click here to cast your final round vote!

(Every district starts back at zero votes for the final round, so make sure you cast a final round vote.)

You get to decide where Democrats will roll up their sleeves at a community service event with General Clark this summer.

So cast your vote today! The final round of voting ends this Friday, June 6th, at 12:00 midnight eastern time.

Thank you for your participation and for putting your Democratic values into action. Spread the word!

Put Daniel Johnson Over The Top

The voting is down to the Final 5 and Daniel Johnson made the cut. Lets put him over the top and get General Wesley Clark in North Carolina for some real work.

Wes Clark to work with Daniel Johnson or Larry Kissell?

Wes Clark will be joining a Democrats Work community service project this summer, and Democrats Work and WesPAC are running a contest to decide who will Serve with the General.

Thousands of people have already voted, but voting is so close that as of this morning North Carolina's 17th district has only 17 votes separating it from moving on to the next round!

North Carolina's 8th district is also in the top 10, and either district could be just one push away from winning it all!

On Friday, the top 5 vote getting districts will move on to the final round.

If you would like to meet Gen. Clark, or to help bring him to North Carolina to serve on a community project, cast your vote here.
