Much ado about cutting

This item is cross-posted by Kevin Rogers at Action NC

Had I known nothing about economics or governance before watching last week’s Republican debates, I would have thought that destroying government was the only way to save it. I would, of course, be wrong. To quote Woodrow Wilson, “A conservative is a man who just sits and thinks - mostly sits.” While these particular conservatives were standing, it was clear that not much thinking was going on either.

Leaders vs. politicians: Debates

How would a leader have handled the debate last night?

Debate!

I am not a career politician and am new to the debate scene. I am a career educator with a passion for serving the people of our district who have been betrayed by Virginia Foxx and her callous voting record in Congress. I want people to come away from these debates knowing that I am the candidate who will best represent their values, understand the needs of their communities, and always place their best interests above political gain.

Let The Debates Begin

Moore Like Hillary or Romney.

What is going wrong with Richard Moore's campaign for Governor? After pulling an ineffective ad portraying the Treasurer as an angry white guy who doesn't want complex issues to be studied any more, he now borrows from the losing campaign playbooks of Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney.

If I had a monocle, it would have fallen off my face.

Let me say this rather bluntly: I've never been more embarrassed to be a Democrat than when I watched some of the candidates I'm pulling for sit in that last debate and act like schoolchildren talking over each other and taking cheap shots. What are we, Republicans?

Journalism has just changed forever

The YouTube/CNN debate was the best ever.

It put to rest forever the claim that we need professional journalists to conduct presidential debates.

Taylor/Shuler Debate on @ 3:00!

Although Taylor's not even going to be in the same studio as Shuler (he's "stuck in Hendersonville"), the long-awaited debate between them is scheduled to start on WWNC-AM (570) in just a few minutes.

Click here to listen. (Just minimize the window if you get sick of looking at pictures of Hannity and Limbaugh...)

by Robert P. - I'm updating this because the debate is OVER. Taylor hid at another station and broke the rules of the debate. So, Shuler said his piece, said something along the lines of this isn't what I agreed upon and I'm leaving. The response from this right-wing home of Rush Limbaugh?
