OUCH!!!! Charlotte Observer rips "Do Nothing Dick"
Submitted by Foxxhunter on Fri, 03/26/2010 - 2:58pmHello again to all my BlueNC friends. Hope y'all been doing great, and enjoying some of the nice weather we had earlier this week.
I wanted to make sure everyone got to check out this great editorial today in the Charlotte Observer.
"When the senator got a burr under his saddle"
Curiously, Burr prefaced his remarks by saying he had no personal objection to the hearing going on. That's ridiculous. It was his objection that halted the hearing.
Oh wait, but there's more:

Mary Fant Donnan for N.C. Commissioner of Labor
Submitted by Mary Fant Donnan on Sun, 06/15/2008 - 12:36pmHi folks! I wanted to take a moment to say hello and to thank Betsy and James for organizing a live blog on Wednesday (June 18th) at 7pm. Thank you also to the BlueNC community for your interest in the Labor Commissioner's race. I'm excited to exchange ideas with all of you on Wednesday, and I welcome your questions.
As many of you know, I'm running for N.C. Commissioner of Labor. Thanks to all of you who took an early interest in this race, including those of you who worked hard for Robin Anderson. Robin was a strong candidate, and I respect her immensely. I'm honored to have her support moving forward.

Navy hero considers run against McHenry
Submitted by Drama Queen on Thu, 09/13/2007 - 1:11amFP by Anglico . . . with finger-crossed that it's true.
Hickory Navy hero weighs congressional run . . . He's about the same age as Pat. While Pat was partying with his morally-challenged College Republican friends Daniel Johnson was serving his country for real and risking his life for his shipmates.
Woooo Hoooo!!!!!!

Why America needs John Edwards as our next President
Submitted by Marshall Adame on Mon, 02/12/2007 - 10:48amWhy America needs John Edwards as our next President
By Marshall Adame
February 2007
The clamor for the White House is on. Clinton, Bush, Kerry, Obama, Gore, McCain and a fountain of other well known Washington insiders, steeped in years of cozy relationships, cloak and dagger histories of deal making and inside political trading, not focused on Americas well being, but aimed and purposed for the retention of power or extending one’s influence. Political dynasties somehow permitted by the electorate to remain, in many cases, at the expense of America’s democratic health and vitality. We have permitted old money, old influence and all the political experience and seasoning it could buy to get us where we are today, drowning in two wars and a nine trillion dollar debt, trillion with a “T”.
