Franklin Graham

Samaritan's Purse spent $150K on NC constitutional amendment

International Christian relief and evangelism charity organization Samaritan's Purse run by Franklin Graham contributed $150,200 towards newspaper and TV advertising in support of the NC Marriage Amendment, according to an Independent Expenditure report filed with the NC State Board of Elections.

Franklin Graham at it again

I am a Christian who goes to church about every Sunday and am very active in my parish but this bozo really gives us a bad name. When are these loonies going to shut up? Franklin Graham is, once again questioning Obama's Christian faith.

Appearing on MSNBC this morning, Graham said he is not sure the president is a Christian. Neither is he certain that Obama is not a Muslim.

Franklin Graham finally gets something right

File this one in the category of self-important fools who would be nothing except for the luck of their births. From the Charlotte Observer.

Has [Franklin] Graham ever thought about following his father's late-in-life advice for clergy to steer clear of politics? Maybe decline to comment when asked about the race for the White House?

"First of all, I'm not my father," he said.

You can say that again, Mr. Graham.

Charlotte Observer unloads on Franklin Graham

cross-posted at dKos

This morning, the Charlotte Observer editorial board rolled out the five-inch guns on Franklin Graham, calling him out for his ridiculous statements on Sunday's This Week with Christiane Amanpour.

Evangelist Franklin Graham surely must have forgotten the sage advice from a verse in Proverbs, about a fool holding his tongue and "being counted wise."

Otherwise he wouldn't have spouted the nonsense he did Sunday to ABC's Christiane Amanpour, giving huckster real-estate mogul and television personality Donald Trump a thumbs-up as a presidential candidate and repeating the already many times disproven silliness that President Barack Obama wasn't born in the United States.

After this haymaker, the Observer keeps punching, flat-out calling Graham's decision to join the "Where's the birth certificate?" crowd "ill-informed" and "irresponsible."

Idiot endorses fellow idiot for President

Franklin Graham hearts Donald Trump:

Asked by Amanpour whether Trump - who's promoting accusations that President Barack Obama was not born in America - might be Graham's choice for 2012, he responded: "Sure, yes, sure." There was no discussion of how Graham, a conservative Christian, could support a thrice-married owner of gambling casinos.

Even if there had been, I'm sure Graham Cracker would have opined on Trump's heart being in the right place, or some such nonsense. As far as President Obama, though:
