Serial job-killer Welch can't believe jobs numbers

Some Tweeters really are twits:

The conspiracy erupted after former General Electric CEO Jack Welch, a Republican, tweeted his skepticism five minutes after the Labor Department announced that the unemployment rate had fallen to 7.8 percent in September from 8.1 percent the month before.

"Unbelievable jobs numbers..these Chicago guys will do anything..can't debate so change numbers," Welch tweeted, referring to the site of Obama campaign headquarters.

I would say this idiotic conspiracy theory is merely election-year posturing. Then again, when you're personally responsible for the offshoring of thousands of U.S. jobs overseas, it may be hard to believe in a recovery:

Ryan to schmooze with military contractors

Budget cutter tries to blame Obama for looming budget cuts:

The Wisconsin congressman is scheduled to appear at noon at a defense industry roundtable at the Partnership for Defense Innovation, which is in the All American Military Business Park just south of Fort Bragg. The nonprofit organization promotes economic development and supports research and development of technology with a focus on the defense industry. The roundtable is not open to the general public.

Of course it isn't open to the public. Fayetteville is home to thousands of combat veterans, who might have a few words to say about Paul Ryan's lack of support for victims of PTSD:

Michele Bachmann opposes freedom, blames Obama

Apparently supporting dictators in the Middle East is what a President Bachmann would do:

Rep. Michele Bachmann blamed President Barack Obama's stand on Israeli-Palestinian peace talks for the uprisings against autocratic governments across the Arab world. "You want to know why we have an Arab Spring? Barack Obama has laid the table for an Arab Spring by demonstrating weakness from the United States of America," she said.

(Note: This is on the front page because this idiot made these comments in Concord, NC, in her efforts to squeeze money and support out of the people of our state.)

Sorry about the mixing of blog and Twit medium, but it's better than being horse-whipped, right?

Souter To Retire

Although the news has not been confirmed both NPR and MSNBC have reported that Justice Souter will retire. In DeanObama's diary, Adam posted this link of possible nominees,

The three obvious candidates are Elena Kagan (SG), Sonia Sotomayor (CA2), and Diane Wood (CA7). The sleeper candidate is Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm.

.

Have you called your Senator today?

By now everyone has heard the Republican Party’s “Giant”, the great bloviator, Rush Limbaugh tell everyone in Dittoheadland that he wants the Obama stimulus plan and his administration to fail. He’s even gone so far as to order his mindless minions to call their senators and tell them to vote AGAINST the plan. If what happened to Congressman Phil Gingrey is any indicator of the power of this pompous ass, then Democratic minded people need to spring into action.

Take time now to call Senator Kay Hagan at 202-224-6342

Senator Richard Burr at 202-224-3154 (Yes, you need to call him too and let him know there are more people in this state FOR than AGAINST!)
