How to Get Health Care Reform Done Quickly

Until people understand the full, true and real cost of health insurance, it is going to be very difficult to get the political will ginned up in the voting population to demand change from our elected leaders.
This might be one way to do it.

One of Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin's legislative goals in 2010 was North Carolina's recognition of and passage of the special Long-Term Care Partnership initiative, which provides an incentive for individuals to plan ahead for future long-term care and nursing home care needs while preserving and protecting one's savings and estate for the family from Medicaid spend-down requirements. Please ask your Representative to sign on as a co sponsor of HB 91, a bill to help the caregivers of persons suffering from dementia. I've personally been the primary caregiver for my elderly Mother since the late 90's and still am today.
