State Chair
The First Week…A Busy Start.
Submitted by David Young on Mon, 02/09/2009 - 11:33amFirst, I want to thank you and tell you what an honor and a privilege it is to be the State Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party. I am grateful for the outpouring of support and best wishes as we begin working together to make our Party an even stronger voice for those who are counting on us the most -- the good people of North Carolina who are looking to Democrats to make their lives better.
This last week, I held a conference call with our new team of officers. They are ready to get to work on a host of issues from promoting upcoming precinct meetings to working with our party auxiliary groups. In the coming weeks, we plan to travel to every region of the state to meet with local party leaders to identify specific ways that the state party can help local parties grow and succeed.

NCDP State Chair Candidate
Submitted by Dannie Montgomery on Tue, 01/27/2009 - 2:07amFor 25 years, I have been actively engaged in the elections of every NC Democrat through grassroots activism. As the First Vice Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party, the last two years have been ones of training and learning the techniques and skills necessary to move the Democratic Party Platform and mission forward in the 21st Century. I have taken advantage of every training opportunity; attended every function and meeting that was plausible; and served the state of North Carolina with diligence and to the best of my extensive capabilities. In this 2008 General Election campaign, all my training and talents were put to work to deliver the votes necessary for V-I-C-T-O-R-Y. Working relentlessly as the Kissell for Congress Campaign Chair, 8th District Base Vote and Educational Outreach Coordinator for the Coordinated Campaign, we delivered for every candidate on the ticket.
