Stimulus Plan

Burr crashes Stimulus party

Once again, Richard Burr takes credit for something he tried to stop:

“Hypocritical Senator Richard Burr voted against the stimulus package and called it 'wasteful' and said it would provide 'little to no stimulus' but that hasn't stopped him from showing up at stimulus funded events in North Carolina,” said Deirdre Murphy, spokeswoman for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

“If Senator Burr had had his way, this company would never have received funding to expand and add jobs,” Murphy said.

The Burr campaign did not respond.

Of course they didn't. What could they say? "Um, Senator Burr fully supported this, but he wanted to pay for the Stimulus with the, er,...Stimulus funds, but the Democrats blocked him! So there!" ;)

Have you called your Senator today?

By now everyone has heard the Republican Party’s “Giant”, the great bloviator, Rush Limbaugh tell everyone in Dittoheadland that he wants the Obama stimulus plan and his administration to fail. He’s even gone so far as to order his mindless minions to call their senators and tell them to vote AGAINST the plan. If what happened to Congressman Phil Gingrey is any indicator of the power of this pompous ass, then Democratic minded people need to spring into action.

Take time now to call Senator Kay Hagan at 202-224-6342

Senator Richard Burr at 202-224-3154 (Yes, you need to call him too and let him know there are more people in this state FOR than AGAINST!)

Economic Stimulus Blues for the Blues

The Economic Stimulus Plan does not concern me, Democrats concern me. I have come to the conclusion that Democrats are so eagerly and meekly courting conservative consent for the Stimulus not because they want true bipartisan support or because they value their ideals, but because they honestly do not think it can work. They want someone with which to share the blame, because they have absolutely no way of knowing if any of this capital injection, infrastructure spending and, yes, tax cuts will do anything but put us in a bigger fiscal debt and without thousands of new jobs for working families.
