Robin Hayes playing Primary politics

Trying to edge Vernon Robinson out of the picture:

"I was unaware that this was a multi-candidate primary and I have made it a practice not to endorse in those situations," Michael Reagan wrote in a Dec. 28 email to N.C. Republican Party Chairman Robin Hayes.

Translated: "I was unaware Robin Hayes was grooming a white, DC-savvy, predictable, prone-to-manipulation, business-as-usual candidate for this race, so my choice of the crazy black guy was a little premature."

Comparison of 8th District GOP field

Rebublicans are lining up to challenge Congressman Larry Kissell in the newly redrawn 8th Congressional District.  Despite his conservative leanings, the gerrymandered districts drawn by the Republican legislature will make it more difficult for Kissell to win reelection.

The following is a cursory glance at the candidates who have declared their intentions  to run in North Carolina's 8th District.  Stu Rothenberg has said it would take a miracle for Kissell to win.  So folks....which one do you want in Washington in his place?

Attention Vernon Robinson: the internet never forgets (and I'm not crazy).

I saw this article in the Winston-Salem Journal today and quickly realized I was involved in the story. I find it very funny to see a Republican foe of Vernon Robinson using an old BlueNC post of mine to attack him. Vernon Robinson is currently running in the Republican primary for the 8th District congressional seat, the 3rd congressional seat he's been a candidate for.

If that's being "social", I'd hate to see...

Vernon D'Annunzio Robinson switches to fully automatic:

For $50 per person, you will have the privilege of firing a magazine of a fully-automatic submachine gun (generously provided by Class 3 License holder Rob Peetz of Repent Arms). You will also be entered for the door prize, a new AR-15 provided by Eagle Guns.

Proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that Vern has no new ideas of his own.

And Vernon Robinson makes three

Forget about sharks; these guys are like hyenas:

Former Winston-Salem city councilman Vernon Robinson announced Wednesday he would run for the 13th District seat he sought unsuccessfully five years ago. Robinson lost by nearly a two-to-one margin to incumbent Democratic Rep. Brad Miller and suggested then he may not seek elected office again.

If you think this is shaping up to be a fiasco, wait until the Guilford/Forsyth GOP leadership gets done flipping their coins and begins the not-so-subtle character assassination.

Uh-Oh...

Robinson Wins Award for Worst TV Ad

Growth & Justice, a progressive think tank in Minnesota, just gave Vernon Robinson the "Willie" award for WORST Political Advertisement. The award is "named for the infamous fearmongering Willie Horton ad that led to George Bush defeating Michael Dukakis." See a small clip of U.S. Senate candidates Al Franken and Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer announce the award here.

Vernon Robinson is an Obama fan?

ok guys, I kept this a secret for a long time because I thought it might hurt the Obama campaign, but I feel like I can come out with it now it seems Obama has the nomination locked...
Vernon Robinson did door-to-door canvassing for Obama!
If you don't know who vernon Robinson is, he's about the nastiest politician you can imagine. There are plenty of stories about him on BlueNC, including one by Betsy.
Anyway, on to my "revelation".
