If anyone is going to sit back and say, "whew" because Obama was reelected and it's all good, forget it. Governor Perdue vetoed the voter suppression law(voter ID), but if you think McCrory will do the same, you are delusional. As soon as the legislature meets, there will be a new NC Vote ID law passed by the legislature and the fight will begin anew. Get ready by contacting voters who may be disenfranchised and let's start today. Data banks must be built and data must be accumulated.

I try to look at an overall voting record rather than cherry picking out of context votes. But of they want to play that game, so can I.

Vote 181: On the Motion: This $120 billion dollar package was passed in the Senate by an 80-14 vote on May 24. The bill primarily focuses on funding for the Iraq war but also addresses other unrelated topics.

In the short time I have been a member here at BlueNC, I have noted from time to time writers who, when discussing Walter Jones, talk about him as though he were a Democrat in Republican clothing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I just took a sampling of his record for your edification.
