Collaboration
I am glad they are moving closer. It is unfortunate about the strife, which seemed to be repeated in Sam Noble's letter to the editor. Not sure why Tarboro and Rocky Mount cannot come together for the good of the county, They all need to put whatever historical baggage there is aside and take advantage of this unique opportunity.

In re: collaboration
I think Tarboro and Rocky Mount are closer to getting there, putting the historical baggage aside because it is a new day. There are many people today who do not have a problem with speaking up and questioning the so-called powers that be. I have seen us come a long ways however we have a long ways to go but I think the time will be shorter than expected.
You see in the past there were little to no collaboration however some of us are all about collaboration and will force it on those who do not want to.
I feel what happened on Wednesday was a good thing. After Wednesday people had something to go home and think about. Now time will tell how they received it at the next meeting.
Not only do the community must collaborate the local newspapers and TV stations must tell the story as it happens and not leave out critical pieces. I received a call on Thursday morning that WHIG TV 20 in Rocky Mount to inform me that Sandra was talking about how she think the money should be distributed. Why in the hell weren't they there covering the forum? I was the only one videoing and I received a call from the other station WNCR TV 41 asking about the footage that I have.
We also have a problem with the local TV stations and newspapers issues that they have with each other.
But again I see us getting closer and sooner than we think simply because of the collaboration that is taking place among the community and the media and I feel strongly that everyone will recognize that united we will move forward but divided everyone will lose.
