CNN uses your computer for their business
Submitted by wseehorn on Sat, 02/14/2009 - 12:13pmIf you watched the inauguration on CNN and you clicked "yes" to a CNN.com dialog box you gave them permission to install a peer-to-peer (P2P) application that used your Internet bandwidth rather than CNN's to send live video to other viewers.
Fred Langa's Langalist has an article about it http://windowssecrets.com/2009/02/05/01-Watch-a-live-video-share-your-PC...
Another way for business to make a profit: shift the cost to the consumer. The Terms of Service are draconian, you're forbidden to get any information about what the program is doing on your computer.

On Pulling A Little Prank, Or Hey-Hey-Hey, Good Bye!
Submitted by fake consultant on Tue, 01/20/2009 - 7:41amOK, America, so I pulled a tiny prank tonight—and it was so classic that I have to tell you all about it.
It involves freedom of speech, a friendly message to one of those crazy Republicans we all know—and it forced that crazy Republican to get up at three in the morning because he could not handle the threat to his world view.
Wanna hear all about it?
Then come along and follow the story…because it’s worth it.
