Tea Bag Party Headed to Lillington

The word is that tea bag protesters will be in Lillington around 11:30 at the Bob Etheridge office just as they did last week in Raleigh. I am assuming this is more of Art Pope's astroturf nonsense. Why aren't these people at work on a Tuesday morning. Must be a shiftless bunch of trouble causers. My guess is this is some sort of effort to give Ellmers (one of the R's running in the 2nd) a chance to grandstand a little and get her picture and a few well crafted comments in the right wing daily, The Dunn Daily Record.

Additionally, join scores of your fellow activists next Tuesday at noon as we drive around his Raleigh and Lillington offices and Honk Against the Government Takeover of Health Care. You may either rally with us in front of either of his North Carolina office buildings OR just drive around the block a few times honking your horn and displaying signs.

The funny thing will be seeing them attempt to "drive around" his Lillington office. The office on First Street is on a half block dead end. If they attempt this maneuver they will have to drive the half block turn around in the driveway and drive back down the half block or take turns going forward/reverse, forward/reverse. It could end up being a booming business for the local body shops. The congestion they will create for the County Library, the Farm Bureau office and the law offices in the area ought to be enough to swing any wavering support to Bob and health care reform. Oh and the internet comedy duo Rhett and Link's office is just across a big parking lot from all of this. I wonder if they can get any good material from it? Probably not, I suppose they will want to keep as far away from politics as possible.

Lillington will be good for the tea baggers. Jesus Christ, after hanging around Lillington for an hour or two they will probably be scared straight! The tea baggers will never change anyone's mind in Lillington. That is pretty much a given. Many tea baggers have fallen before the gates of Lillington.

It would be nice if you could all give Bob's office a call (or send and e-mail or stop by his office in Raleigh or Lillington) and express your support for him and health care reform. This would serve as a nice (and very civil) counterbalance to the crazies that show up at his offices. Thanks
