Golden leaf and edgecombe county
I think this situation is a shame. There is just no reason why there should not be a rotation among cities and towns. If that had been done in the first place, they would be further along and could then break into groups and meet in different areas. When money is on the table to improve the community, can we not put aside the past and get along to make a difference. How is everything going now?
And what is the word on the Tarboro councilman who resigned?

It is a damn shame. One of my comments at the meeting was that people need to put personalities aside and stay focus on why we are meeting. I said it is a shame that when certain folks speak folks get stupid because they don't like the person who is talking at that time even if they are making a good point. However I am very much familiar with Edgecombe County and I will challenge anyone when it comes to politics of the county. This thing with Golden Leaf is not new because we have experienced this same behavior when we have come together during other meetings such as the Democratic Party meetings. Same type fight however the only difference this time is money is the major issue and so if we have fought over petty bull manure so the real fight begun. I hope the committee will come together quickly with the best interest of what is good for all of Edgecombe County and not just for a select few which has been the norm.
County pride project. This is the reason why it should be moved around the county. It was obvious that the Northern end of Edgecombe County was really left out of the loop. But they are always left out.
Now we are at the different entities such as the County Commissioners and others will choose people to sit on the committee. If I am correct as it stands it will be around a 28 member committee.
I have not heard anymore about the Tarboro Town Councilman David Smoot resignation. I have talked to several people who are puzzled because they thought Smoot and Sam Nobles were buds.
