The pretty face of evil

Erik Prince today comported himself with arrogance befitting a greedy war-profiteer as he lied to Congress again and again and again.
It is time to end our reliance on mercenary armies to fight America's wars. It is time to end the practice of having private contractors doing the security work that active duty personnel can and should be doing. It is time for Congress to pass one simple law:
No private contractor working on behalf of the United States Government shall be permitted to carry arms in the line of duty.

The key issue here is....
the fact that private security contractors, like Blackwater, create a serious confusion felt by the Iraqi civillian population with regard to who is actually American military personel. It gets even more complicated when the majority of the contractors are former U.S. military operators.
While I respect these guys for their service they gave to us before Blackwater, they are seriously endangering our mission over there when they give no regard to the safety of civilians. It could even be said that they are creating an environment that is more dangerous for our troops that are struggling, at best, to provide secutiy and to win over the trust of local tribal officials....
Here's several short videos of the hearing
I can only take this crap in small doses. Much thanks to Petulant Rumblings.

And I still wanna know what dog
our Pat has in this hunt. I'd heard he was in with a lot of scummy people but never these high rollers.

More Pat-licks-Blackwater's-ass video
Listen to Pat trying to sound like a military dude. If that doesn't piss people off, nothing will.

I tried
really hard to follow Patty's convoluted logic here, but it was beyond me. Too damned Orwellian ... more is actually less, that sort of thing. Do Republican brains really work that way?! No wonder we're in such deep kimchi!
There is no logic unless you realize it's
all about money, money, money. Nothing they say means anything.

Eric Prince Mocks Congress...Successfully!!!
That is the title I would put to this deposition.
From My vantage point, the whole thing sounded like a congratulations party for Blackwaters careful obedience to the Rule of Law!
If this is the Democratic leadership, we are in trouble.
Pat was an embarassment to North Carolina today.

Blackwater peep wrote State Department "report"
Guess what MSNBC's Keith Olbermann found out about today's hearing. Someone from Blackwater wrote the initial State Department report on last month's reportedly unprovoked Iraqi shooting. As KO says, the whole thing reads like Catch-22.
Check out Olbermann with clips from our Pat:
