There they go again … N&O unfair to Perdue

Perhaps you read Rob Christensen and the News & Observer's front page hit job on Bev Perdue this morning. The article "Dole, Perdue content to avoid debates" is terribly misleading. If Bev were trying to avoid debates, then she's doing a really bad job at it. She's agreed to 5 televised debates. Five.

Sure the criticism is warranted for Elizabeth Dole. She's participated in just one debate – in June! But Bev has another debate scheduled for next week with McCrory and Munger.

Five debates is 2 more than McCain and Obama and one more debate than the last three gubernatorial general elections COMBINED. That's right – in 1996 there was 1 debate, in 2000 there were 2 and in 2004 there was 1.

It's not like Christensen didn't know Bev had agreed to five debates. If you turn the page 8 you can read just that. So how does Rob Christensen come to the conclusion that agreeing to 5 debates is "avoiding debates?" I have no idea.

Its easy

Beacause Rob C is a big giant Republican, as evidenced by the fact that if you asked him to right now he would probably tell you Elizabeth Dole is ahead and Kay should retire from politics.

"Keep the Faith"

"Keep the Faith"

The N&O's political coverage

sucks. And they all take their cue from Christensen, who treasures his delusions of power over his responsibilities as a journalist.

Thank you at least for not linking to the creepy story. I'm not ready to ban links to the N&O, but it's tempting.

Vote Democratic, the ass you save may be your own.

Look back at Dome's headlines about Bev.

Ryan had a big headline something like "Perdue won't attend Obama rally". Then, down in paragraph 3 was the reason why, she was at a debate. Oh, the irony.

John McCain looks like a guy whose head you can barely see over the steering wheel...looks like the guy who thinks the nurses are stealing his stuff. 'Dad, why would they take your socks? It doesn't make sense.' Letterman

Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.

Perdue set 'em straight

Looks like Perdue met with the N&O editorial board to complain.

Still it doesn't explain or excuse it. O-No! indeed.
